Build a Labor Rate Build-Up (LRBU)

Layer payroll burdens, markups, and overhead on a union agreement's Total Package to build an auditable Labor Rate Build-Up (LRBU) and a billable rate.

What an LRBU is

A Labor Rate Build-Up turns an agreement's bare labor cost into the rate you actually bill: base cost, plus your burdens (taxes, insurance), overhead, and markup, stacked in the order you choose — with separate straight-time, overtime, and double-time results.

Build one

1. In the sidebar, open Library → LRBU profiles and create a new profile.
2. Pick the agreements whose crafts should preview the numbers as you work — one, several, or all of them.
3. On the Build-up tab, add your components — each is a percentage or flat amount applied to a base you select. Reusable sets of components can be saved as component groups and inserted in one click.
4. Set the tier multipliers only if your agreement publishes true OT/DT rates you want to override — CrewMix never derives OT from straight time by a blind multiplier.
5. Watch the computed preview: every craft's ST/OT/DT billable rate, recalculated as you type. Save when it matches your book.

Good to know

• One profile can serve many estimates — it's a template, and each estimate snapshots the numbers it uses, so later edits never silently reprice old work.
