Build a T&M Headcount Estimate
Before you start
An estimate pulls from your library: an agreement for the holidays, an LRBU profile for the rates, and a schedule rule set for the ST/OT/DT split. Have those three in place first — the Getting started checklist walks the same order.
Build the estimate
- In the sidebar, open Estimates and click New estimate. Give it a number, customer, and start/end dates.
- Load the holiday snapshot from your agreement so holiday dates inside the work window price by your holiday rules.
- Split the job into phases if the working pattern changes mid-job — pre-turnaround weeks vs. the turnaround itself.
- Add craft lines: each pairs a craft & rate class (snapshotted from your library, or manual rates) with a schedule rule set.
- Open the Headcount grid tab and type crew counts per craft per day. The rollup — hours and dollars by ST/OT/DT — recalculates as you go.
Good to know
- Library rates are snapshots: the estimate keeps the numbers it was priced with even if the library changes later.
- All the math runs server-side to the cent — what you see in the grid is exactly what exports.
- Once you've built a few estimates, roll them up and compare your rates over time — see Compare & report.
